Portrait photography aims to capture the essence of a subject through a combination of lighting, composition, and scene.  

The portrait is as diverse as photography itself and great photographers are constantly reinventing the art, finding new and interesting ways to portray and reveal their subjects. 

NYCFotoWorks is hosting a juried show competition that will celebrate new and unique portrait photography.  Juried by some of the best in the photo business, the NYCFotoWorks Portrait Juried Show will result in an exhibition of the top 60 images at the Calumet Gallery in Chelsea Manhattan. 

NYCFotoWorks will host an opening, bringing many editors, creative directors, art buyers, gallerists and photo agents together to view the winning work and meet the selected artists.  This show is open to both professional and amateur photographers.
