Our portfolio review is a targeted professional networking event.  Here's how it works...

Artists must apply and be accepted to join the event.  Because of this, the many editors, creative directors, art buyers, agents, and galleries that attend our event do so will the aim of finding new artists.

 

We bring the best in the business.   Our reviewers are all currently working professionals, not just big names from a time past, but instead the industry professionals that are shaping the look and feel of the visual medium everyday.

How does the Portfolio Review work?

 

After being accepted to the event, artists choose their PACKAGE.

 

Once your package has been purchased, your spot has been secured in the priority request list.

 

Requests to meet with reviewers are given on a first-come-first-serve basis.

 

Artists request the reviewers they want to meet.

 

Attending artists will be given a schedule of their meetings the week before the event.

 

All meetings are 1-on-1.

The DETAILS of Fashion Photography:
Rockell Harwood, Creative Director of Details Magazine


DETAILS Magazine has been a trendsetter in photography for years.  Creative Director Rockwell Harwood, knows what sets great photography apart from the rest.  In this workshop, Rockwell will work with Pulitzer Prize Winning photographer and Sony Artisan Brian Smith (click here for bio) to put on a photo shoot from start to finish.  Photographers will get the chance to see two great professionals create a photo shoot and ask questions along the way.  After the shoot, photographers will be able to sit down with Rockwell and learn what makes a great fashion image.  Photographers are encouraged to bring their own work so that they can receive critique from the industry's leading creative director.

The world of editorial photography is currently undergoing dramatic change.  Many in the business proclaim that the magazine world must look beyond print if it wishes to survive this new age of technology.  Hear from one of the industry’s leading Directors of Photography about where the editorial world may be headed and how that translates for photographers.  This is a discussion-based workshop where Chris Dougherty of People Magazine will highlight his vision for the editorial world and open the discussion up to photographers, fielding questions and shedding light on this very nascent and highly discussed topic.
